parental_dispositivi_mobili

Getting worried every time your kids grab your iPhone? Maybe you already know that iPhone (as well as iPod Touch) support parental control allowing you to disable a number of features. And after you set limits on browsing through Safari, the further step you can take for your kids’ safety is using a browser like Mobicip (an iApp available for free). Once you get an account on mobicip.com, you can select the level of filtering based on your child’s age group by school (contents and categories can be either allowed or blocked for elementary, middle and high school kids). You may even set shortcuts to websites that you consider useful for you child (such as Wikipedia, Britannica, HowStuffWorks, etc.) And if you’re not satisfied with Mobicip, there are two further browsers available: iWonderSurfWebBrowser and Safe Eye Mobile.

New Parental Control on Windows 7

Parental_Control_Win_72

For MIcrosoft, one of the goals in launching Windows 7 is to gain more confidence from its users especially through the enhanced Parental Control feature, which makes it very easy to supervise children’s activities on the PC. The new version is easier to use and designed with a very user-friendly interface, to help those parents who are not advanced PC users manage their children’s activities effectively. And those who use Windows Media Center will be able to set additional filters to digital contents such as music, TV shows and movies which they deem not suitable for their children.

Among the possible options, parents can:

- Set specific time limits on their children’s computer use

- Prevent children from playing objectionable games

- Keep children from running specific programs
