Kids have made their choice at the Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2010. Mario Kart won the category Favorite Video Game with what has been defined as the “best version ever”. Do you remember (your kids probably don’t) when the first time Mario appeared? It was in Donkey Kong way back in 1981! Since then he has appeared in more than 200 games.

Earthquake in Haiti: how to help
As you know Haiti has been hit by an earthquake which has left the country completely devastated and in tremendous need of help. Many have defined the earthquake as the worst humanitarian crisis of the last decades. The death toll from Tuesday’s 7.0-magnitude earthquake may now hit 200,000, not mentioning the thousands of families whose homes have been destroyed and who are now exposed to a dramatic epidemic risk.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the launch of Sony Walkman, BBC News Magazine has invited 13-year-old Scott Campbell to swap his iPod with a walkman for a week .
Scott’s funny yet accurate report provides an interesting chance to learn more about the digital generation gap from a source as direct as a 13-year-old kid. Obviously the comparison is unfair in many ways and the Walkman does not exactly get a rave review…
It is interesting to read Scott’s report about the “monstruous box” (aside from getting nostalgic reactions from parents and teachers…)
