For MIcrosoft, one of the goals in launching Windows 7 is to gain more confidence from its users especially through the enhanced Parental Control feature, which makes it very easy to supervise children’s activities on the PC. The new version is easier to use and designed with a very user-friendly interface, to help those parents who are not advanced PC users manage their children’s activities effectively. And those who use Windows Media Center will be able to set additional filters to digital contents such as music, TV shows and movies which they deem not suitable for their children.

Among the possible options, parents can:

- Set specific time limits on their children’s computer use

- Prevent children from playing objectionable games

- Keep children from running specific programs
